Privacy Policy
We are a small family business, and we treat your information the way we would want ours treated. The short version: we collect what we need to pick up, clean and return your laundry, and we never sell it.
Effective August 30, 2026
1.The short version
- We collect what we need to do your laundry and keep you posted about it.
- We never sell your information, and we never hand your name, address, email or phone to anyone for their own marketing.
- You do not need a card to book, and we never see or store your card number. Our payment processor handles that.
- Marketing email is opt-in only. Ordering does not sign you up for anything.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete it.
2.Who we are
Sparkleberry Laundry is a trade name of Mastro Minds, LLC. For anything about this policy, call (850) 345-9859, email hello@sparkleberrylaundry.com, or write to us at PO Box 172607, Tampa, FL 33672.
3.What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your pickup and delivery addresses, plus any access notes you give us, such as a gate code or which door to use.
- Your orders: dates, scent choice, instructions, how many bags, photos and payment status.
- Photographs of your laundry at your door, used as proof of delivery.
- Messages you send us and feedback you give about how your laundry came back.
- Basic technical information from your visit, such as your browser type, used to keep the site working and secure.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information. Please do not send it to us in the instructions box.
4.Why we have it
We use your information only to:
- Confirm we can serve your address and schedule your pickup.
- Collect, clean and return your laundry.
- Count your bags, bill you the correct amount and send you a receipt.
- Keep you updated on where your order is.
- Answer your questions and sort out problems.
- Remember your preferences so your next order comes back the way you like it.
- Keep records we are required to keep, and protect against fraud and abuse.
5.What we never do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade or give your name, address, email or phone number to anyone for their own marketing. We do not use your laundry photographs for advertising, and we do not publish them anywhere.
The one thing we do share is described in the next section, and it is about pages rather than people: an advertising measurement tool that tells us whether our ads are working. It never receives your name, address, email, phone number or anything about your laundry.
6.Advertising measurement
We advertise locally, and we need some way of knowing whether that is worth doing. The public pages of this site carry Meta's advertising pixel, which tells us how many people arrived from an ad, which pages they looked at, and how many went on to book. Meta receives that a visit happened and can connect it to a Facebook or Instagram account it already recognizes.
It runs on the public pages only: the homepage, the town pages, the business pages, the booking form and pages like this one. It is switched off on your order tracking page, on your account pages and throughout our back office. We chose that deliberately, because a tracking link is effectively a password to your order and is nobody else's business.
We never send it your name, email address, phone number, home address or anything about your laundry. If you would rather not be counted, browser settings and extensions that block trackers will stop it, and Meta's own ad preferences let you limit what they do with it.
Those same public pages also count visits, through Vercel who host this site and in our own records. That counting is not advertising and is shared with nobody. It notes that a page was opened, roughly where in the world from, what kind of device, which site linked you here if any, and how far through the booking form a visit got, along with the scent and number of bags chosen on the way. It sets no cookie and creates no identifier that follows you to any other website.
The booking-form counting uses a random label that lasts as long as the browser tab and is attached to nothing else, so the steps of one visit can be counted as one visit. It is not your name, it is not kept with your order, and there is no way for us to work backwards from it to you. It exists so we can see that people give up on a particular step, which is the only way we find out that step is broken. All of this is held to the same boundary as the pixel above: switched off on your order tracking page, your account pages and our back office.
Google Analytics counts the same public pages, and is told which page was opened and how far through the booking form a visit got. It is never told the address of your order page, your account or anything behind a sign-in: it is switched off entirely on those, rather than trusted to ignore them.
The public pages also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how the page was used: where a pointer moved, what was tapped, what was scrolled past, and in what order. We watch it back to find the step where people get stuck, because a count tells us that somebody gave up and not whether they changed their mind or hit something broken.
What you type is not recorded. Every box you enter anything about yourself into, your name, your email address, your phone number and your address, is marked so that its contents never reach the recording. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own form rather than ours, which nothing on this page can see into, so they are not recorded either. Clarity runs on the same public pages as everything above and stops the moment you open your order, your account or anything behind a sign-in.
7.Your card details
You do not need to give us a card to book. When you do pay, whether by the link we send you or by a card you chose to save, your card is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and never reach our systems.
If you save a card, we keep only a token that lets us charge the card you approved, and the last four digits and card brand so you can recognize it. You can remove a saved card at any time from your account, or by asking us.
8.Who else touches your information
We use a small number of established companies to run the service. Each receives only what it needs, and none of them may use your information for their own purposes:
- Stripe: payments and card storage.
- Clerk: accounts and sign-in, if you choose to create an account.
- Resend: sending order emails.
- Twilio: sending order text messages, if you opt in.
- Vercel and Neon: hosting the website, database and photo storage.
- Google Maps: turning your address into a location so we can check our service area and plan the route.
- Meta: measuring whether our ads bring people here, on the public pages only. See section 6.
9.Email and text messages
Order emails, meaning confirmations, status updates and receipts, are part of the service and are sent to everyone who places an order.
Text message updates are optional. You choose them by ticking the box at booking, and we only text you about your own orders, never marketing. You can text us first at any time, including texting STATUS to hear where your laundry is and SCHEDULE to book a collection, and we will reply about your own orders only.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with anyone, including affiliates, and no third party ever receives them for their own purposes or marketing. Your number goes only to the messaging provider that delivers the text on our behalf.
Message frequency varies with your order. Expect four to six messages per order, covering booking, collection, the amount charged, and delivery. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your order or your emails.
Marketing email is separate and entirely optional. You will only receive it if you tick the newsletter box yourself, and every message has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop your order updates.
10.How long we keep things
- Photographs of your delivery: 7 days, so we can show where your laundry was left.
- Order and payment records: 7 years, which is how long we are expected to keep financial records.
- Account and contact details: for as long as you have an account with us, and then removed on request.
11.Your choices
You can, at any time:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting.
- Turn text updates off, or unsubscribe from marketing email.
Email hello@sparkleberrylaundry.com and we will take care of it. We will not treat you differently for asking.
12.Keeping it safe
Information is held on managed, access-controlled services and sent over encrypted connections. Only Tiffany and Fred, and any family member helping with deliveries, can reach customer information, and only what their role requires. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously because it is our own household running it.
13.Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.
14.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and we will tell you directly about anything significant.
